SURF

The surf in Rote attracts people from all over the world and is the primary activity for many of our visitors. The surf breaks in Rote are relatively crowd free for majority of the year, with some secret spots offering no crowds at all. Nemberala Left is the premier wave in the region, offering a long left hander that can handle all swell sizes. However there are a number of other surf breaks in the area that offer a nice alternative to Nemberala Left. Whether you’re a beginner, natural or goofy footer, a hater of the wind or just somebody who wants a relaxing surf, there is always a wave for you in Rote.

The Bommie
Boa
Boa is a more advanced wave and best at mid tide. It offers a steep hollow top section which forms into a thick down the line wall. Boa is a 20 minute boat ride from our property, but is better accessed by land. It takes approximately 15 minutes by motorbike.
Squealers
Squealers is a good wave for beginners as it is a soft right and left hand reef break. As it is situated closer to shore it generally offers a smaller alternative to the outer reef breaks. Its a good wave to take your mal out for a ride.
